The Grooming Associate (GA) works directly under the supervision of the Grooming Salon Supervisor. Responsibilities include bathing, brushing and trimming animals (according to the instructions of the GSS) along with other customary grooming tasks normally performed by members of the trade. Breed-standard clipping knowledge is preferred with three to five years hand scissor experience. The ability to groom cats, birds, exotics, etc. is a plus. The Grooming Associate is responsible for the cleaning of his/her station, maintaining all equipment used, and disinfecting tabletops between pets. In emergency situations, he/she will groom additional animals prior to leaving work. This position requires availability for duty 6 days per week - and on weekends and holidays.
